The Sisterhood....In Session

With Chantal Shears.....Founder Of The Clothes Horse CIC

Sarah Ridge Season 1 Episode 36

Thanks so much for listening! I’d love to hear from you!!

Chantal Shears is the founder of The Clothes Horse CIC and has recently launched her new business Grounded Parenting.

The Clothes Horse is a Not For Profit organisation who's mission is to keep clothes in circulation within communities.  The aim is that by 2025 they will have stopped 25 tonnes of clothes from going to landfill.

So far 14 tonnes of clothing has been saved - this has been their contribution to the environment since launching in 2016.

In the year before their launch, it was estimated that the fashion industry consumed nearly 80 billion cubic metres of fresh water, emitted over a million tonnes of CO2 and produced 92 million tonnes of waste globally.

Chantal is determined to keep making an impact!

She also launched Grounded Parenting in July 2024 because she is passionate about helping busy mums prioritise self care to be present & connect.

Chantal knows from first hand experience how hard it can be to get to grips with being a parent! With Grounded Parenting she can help you connect more deeply with your children and avoid mum guilt.

She wants to remind busy mums to prioritise our self care and well being, whilst also remembering that we need to put our needs first too. You can't parent from an empty cup!

She is also keen to help parents connect more deeply with their children. As well as showing them how to help their children to thrive emotionally and to learn how to self regulate as they grow.
