From a childhood shaped by the shadows of clinical depression, Julie Begbie has spent a lifetime on a wholehearted mission to pursue joy – and ripple it outward. 

Her story begins in a home where depression was the quiet undercurrent. As a child, she became deeply attuned to the emotional landscape around me – and somewhere along the way, made a quiet promise to herself: she would spend her life chasing joy, and when she found it, she'd share it.

That personal mission slowly shaped into a professional one. She spent years in traditional roles, always helping others, always listening – but something was missing. When she stepped into entrepreneurship, it was with a full heart and a messy, beautiful vision: to build a business that felt like happiness, and to help others do the same.

That became The Happy Business Company – a space for soul-led women to grow their visibility, build aligned businesses, and trust their own voices. And now, as wild as it sounds, she's bringing AI into that mission – showing small business owners how this unlikely tool can actually create more space, joy, and ease when used in a conscious, values-led way.

It’s been anything but linear – but every step has brought her closer to what really matters: helping others feel seen, supported, and lit up by their own work. As a mentor, business coach, and founder of The Happy Business Company, she helps small business owners build brands that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside. 

Today, she’s leaning into one of the most unexpected happiness tools of all – AI – to help heart-led entrepreneurs create more ease, clarity, and spaciousness in their work and lives.
